Showtime!

So last night, I had the performance of my staged reading. My first time getting on stage in six years. By the way, typing that made me feel ludicrously OLD. I feel like six years ago I should have been in, like, high school.

I was so grateful to have a sizable and appreciative audience. Because I'm not called the Bad Actress for nothing, I felt like my work wasn't my best; I didn't feel the same immediacy and interaction with the other actors that marked the dress rehearsal. In contrast, the lead actor was ON.

I also collected my portion of the donations made at the coffee shop, making me officially a paid actress. A paid actress with career earnings of thirty-five cents. On which I will of course spend twenty dollars to have framed suitably for display. Stay tuned for the launch of my new blog, Bad Personal Finances.
